In Greek mythology, Phobos is one of the sons of Ares (Mars) and Aphrodite (Venus). "Phobos" is Greek for "fear," the base of "phobia". Phobos is the largest & innermost of Mars' two moons. The Phobos program consisted of two unmanned probes, Phobos 1 & Phobos Two, sent to Mars per Soviet Union. Phobos (called Huitzil outside of Japan) is a character inside Capcom's fighting game series Darkstalkers as well as in the hit back, Quake III.
